Our FY26 Impact Report is now live

The challenges shaping our food and fibre systems are becoming increasingly interconnected. Climate instability, pressures on land, food security, community wellbeing and economic resilience can no longer be addressed in isolation. In FY26, Macdoch Foundation continued to support long-term solutions to these complex issues, investing $14.3m through 73 grants and a number of strategic projects across our three strategic pillars: Nature-Positive Agrifood Systems, Climate-Related Transitions and Healthy Communities.

Our FY26 Impact Report highlights the people, partnerships and ideas driving change across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. From strengthening regenerative agriculture, First Nations leadership and local food infrastructure to supporting fair climate transitions, healthier food systems and stronger rural communities, our partners are demonstrating that practical alternatives are possible.

Our FY26 impact at a glance

$7.6m to Nature-Positive Agrifood Systems

Supporting approaches that restore nature, strengthen regenerative and lower-input agriculture, invest in First Nations stewardship, and improve the viability of small to medium-scale farmers.

 

$3.2m to Climate-Related Transitions

Backing community leadership, advocacy and participation to ensure that policy and investment decision-making spaces are shaped by the needs, knowledge and aspirations of the farms and land stewards on the frontline of climate-related transitions.

$2.8m to Healthy Communities

Investing in farmer wellbeing, strengthening public understanding of the importance of healthy whole foods, and building citizen engagement in food to positively shape health, livelihoods, culture, the environment and local economies.
