Paddock, Plate & Planet explores the future of food in a changing climate
Our new podcast brings fresh voices and grounded stories to the big questions of food, farming and climate change.
The series follows the journey of food from paddock to plate through the eyes of farmers and growers, chefs and butchers, market-makers and First Nations leaders, all of whom are working to transform the way food is grown, shared and valued.
The podcast provides a unique perspective by pairing voices of our community and connecting grass roots action with global ambition. It shines a light on the people driving transformation from the ground up, and on why their insights matter for the future of us all.
The six-part series launches with three episodes: The Farmers (Michael Taylor, Scott Laeser), The Chefs (Matthew Evans, Jo Barrett) and The Bush Foodies (Mindy Woods, Peter Cooley).
Each conversation highlights both the challenges of today’s food system and the opportunities to create one that is fair, healthy and resilient.
Episodes
Ep 1: The Farmers
Michael Taylor (Farmers for Climate Action) and Scott Laeler (Rural Climate Partnership) on regenerative farming, diversification, and why context matters more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Ep 2: The Bush Foodies
Mindy Woods (MasterChef, Karkalla) and Peter Cooley (IndigiGrow) on the cultural and ecological significance of bush foods, and being “called home” to Country.
Ep 3: The Chefs
Matthew Evans (Fat Pig Farm, GROUNDED) and Jo Barrett (Wildpie) on wild foods and why they stepped out of the restaurant kitchen to be closer to food.
Imogen Corlette is the host of Paddock, Plate & Planet. Imogen leads communications at the Macdoch Foundation, working to amplifying the voices of farmers, First Nations leaders, and innovators transforming food systems.
